My Journey So Far

My Journey So Far

Since this is my first Blog post, I thought I would tell you a little about me, where I am and how I got here.

My Name is Dennis Mixer.  I was born in Minneapolis, MN in 1961, the 5th of 6 children.  I was raised in church, but walked away from God in my early 20’s.  After some 25 years of running from God, I returned, and God called me into ministry.

This was in the fall of 2007.  since that time I have worked in an orphanage in Honduras for 6 month, did a 4,000 mile walking “Journey of Faith”.  After the walking journey I  wrote two books while working with the poor and  homeless in Atlanta, GA.  From there I returned to Minnesota and cared for my mother, who suffered from Alzheimer’s, for four years.  Then I did a 4,500 mile Bicycle “Journey of Faith” ending up in Lakeside Montana, where I went through the Youth With A Mission, Crossroads Discipleship Training School.  For our outreach phase we spent 2 months at the YWAM Guadalajara, MX base.  I am currently at the Lakeside, MT YWAM entering the 3rd and final quarter of the  YWAM School of Biblical Studies (S.B.S.).sbs

When class is over in late June I plan on returning to YWAM Guadalajara, Mexico to be a missionary there on a permanent basis.

As a missionary, I live on faith that God will provide my every need.  He does this through believers by laying on their hearts to help me.

At present, I need to raise $2,350 for the final quarter of S.B.S. and another $2,500-$3,000 dollers to get to, and get set up in, Mexico.

Please, keep me in your prayers and also consider donating toward my schooling or missions work.

If God leads you to donate, the best way is to send check or money order, made out to YWAM Montana to: Dennis Mixer  501 Blacktail Rd, Lakeside MT 59922.  If you prefer to donate electronically, you can do so through PayPal by sending it to and putting”Dennis Mixer support” in the memo/note  area.  Both of these ways are tax deductable.

Thank You and God Bless
